The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Valmeyer High School varsity boys basketball team coached by Neil Siburt. The Pirates (2-0) opened their season with a 43-36 win at Red Bud on Thursday and a 40-23 victory at home over Marissa on Saturday. Team members are Jacob Rowold, Henry Weber, Nathan Touchette, Drew Shevlin, Evan Rowe-Brown, Ethan Rowe-Brown, Vincent Oggero, Harry Miller, Elijah Miller, Jordan McSchooler and Conor Greer.
