Columbia police and fire are responding to Fashion Attic, 128 S. Main Street in Columbia, after a vehicle reportedly struck a gas meter at about 5:30 p.m. Monday, resulting in a gas leak. Police evacuated people in nearby buildings as a precaution. Fire department personnel were able to shut off the gas within a couple of minutes of the accident. No injuries are being reported at this time.
