The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo High School girls basketball standout Sam Lindhorst. The senior had per game averages of nearly 12 points, 5.7 assists and 3.73 steals this season for the Bulldogs (19-11). She finished as the all-time career leader in assists (370) and steals (285) for the program and is fourth all-time in scoring (1,125). Lindhorst will play basketball for Lincoln Land Community College next season.
