Ralph P. Eddy | Obituary

Ralph P. Eddy, 69, of Waterloo, born Nov. 27, 1954 in Waxweiler, Germany, died Jan. 18, 2024, at Jerseyville Nursing and Rehab.

Ralph was retired from the U.S. Postal Service.  He was a U.S. Army and a U.S. Navy veteran.  He was a member of the Odd Fellows and a former member of the VFW Post 5691 in Collinsville. Ralph loved to ride motorcycles.

Surviving are his siblings, Joanne (Jeff) Dietz of Lakeville, Minn., David (Kathy) Eddy of Jerseyville and Linda (Shaun) Manning of Waterloo; six nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and nephews; and his good friend since childhood, Larry Kittle of Columbia.  He was also a dear nephew, cousin and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eva (nee Pauls) Eddy.

In following Ralph’s wishes a private cremation was to be held.  

His ashes will be buried at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at a later date.  

Braun Family Funeral Home was entrusted with the care of Ralph.
