Columbia Police

Sept. 4
Ryan N. Limestall, 28, of Columbia, was arrested on an in-state warrant and for driving while license suspended at Moto Mart.

Sept. 7
Jayla K. McClain, 20, of Cahokia, was arrested on an instate warrant at the police department.

Sept. 8
Matthew W. Buettner, 28, of Waterloo, was arrested for DUI and speeding on Route 3 at Frontage Road.

Melanie L. Murray, 32, of Red Bud, was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage on Route 3 at Gilmore Lake Road.

Sept. 9
Cassandra Cooper, 43, of Belleville, was charged with two counts of felony aggravated identity theft for a June 24 incident in which she allegedly used someone’s credit cards to make purchases without their prior knowledge.

Monroe County Sheriff

Sept. 4
The theft of $900 in cash from a register at Artie’s Auto Sports and ATVs, 8814 Summer Road, is under investigation.

Sept. 5
A report of deceptive practice is under investigation. Someone allegedly wrote a bad check to the circuit clerk’s office.

Crystal Fillinger of Waterloo was arrested on an in-state warrant on Waterloo Commons Drive.

Sept. 6
Holly Mayberry, 20, of Red Bud, was arrested for DUI and unlawful possession of alcohol on Brickey Road at LL Road. Also cited in the incident were Hannah Porter, 18, Grace Richards, 18, and Morgan Woosley, 18, all of Red Bud, for unlawful possession of alcohol.

Sept. 7
A burglary to a shed in the area of 5100 Rock Road is under investigation. Forced entry was gained to the shed sometime between Sept. 5 and Sept. 6, and two generators were stolen.

Waterloo Police

Sept. 2
Two Waterloo women were transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries sustained in a two-car crash that occurred around 7:20 p.m. on Market Street at Bradford Lane. The vehicles involved were a 2004 Chrysler Sebring driven by Dottie Pieper, 88, of Waterloo, and a 2010 Nissan Maxima driven by Crystal Craft, 27, of Waterloo. Pieper was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center; Craft was taken to Memorial Hospital in Belleville. Pieper was cited for improper lane usage and failure to yield turning left.

Sept. 3
Alexander Reitz, 21, of Waterloo, was arrested at 711 Ridge Road on a Missouri warrant for shoplifting.

Sept. 8
Casey Hurley, 29, and Kala Kofarago, 23, both of Waterloo, were each arrested for domestic battery at 708 Evansville Avenue.

Sept. 9
Tasha J. Simmons, 23, of Waterloo, was charged with two counts of felony retail theft for alleged incidents that occurred Aug. 15 and Aug. 20 at Walmart. According to court information, she is alleged to have stolen three laptops and two laptop chargers from the store on Aug. 15, and three more laptops, an XBox 360 video game console, Sony PlayStation video game console, eight video games and two beach towels on Aug. 20.
