Columbia Police

Aug. 14
Jason S. Welsch, 41, of Millstadt, was arrested for aggravated assault and two counts of criminal damage to property. Court information states he allegedly damaged a 1988 Chevrolet Caprice and an apartment door at 218 Veterans Parkway.

Donna L. Powell, 44, of Waterloo, was arrested after she allegedly took $225 in cash from the purse of Shirley Shelton.

Aug. 16
David A. Shelton, 50, of Columbia, was arrested for felony unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (clonazepam) at 237 Veterans Parkway.

Joseph D. Silva, 21, of Columbia, was arrested on a war- rant and also for possession of cannabis.

Conservation Police

Aug. 18
Matthew Kirkwood, 25, of Belleville, and Brian Glauber, 23, of Fayetteville, were each arrested for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia near D Road.

Monroe County Sheriff

Aug. 7
Graden M. Presler of Prairie du Rocher refused medical transport after the 2002 Ford Escape he was driving left the roadway, struck a culvert and flipped multiple times before coming to rest in a soybean field along Bluff Road just north of Fults Road around 11:45 p.m.

Aug. 12
The theft of copper wire and other items from a future Ameren switching station being built by J.F. Electric on HH Road is under investigation.

The reported theft of a dirt bike from a back shed at Eternal Ink tattoo parlor in Hecker is under investigation.

Aug. 15
Tierney Courtois, 18, of Valmeyer, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.

A 17-year-old female was cited for unlawful consumption of alcohol on Quarry Drive at Old Red Bud Road.

Aug. 16
The theft of $90 in cash plus a credit card from a locked gym locker at the YMCA is under investigation.

Barry Dixon, 57, of Dupo, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant.

Aug. 19
Neal A. Vogt of Waterloo was arrested on a warrant.

Prairie du Rocher Police

Aug. 19
Village President Ray Cole was airlifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis after he fell an estimated 20 feet on his property shortly after 3 p.m. Cole was apparently clearing weeds in the bluffs and was on a rise covered with brush when he slipped and fell. The extent of his injuries is not known.

Waterloo Police

Aug. 15
Benjamin Rongey, 25, of Waterloo, was issued a city ordinance violation for dangerous dog at large in the alley on Veterans Drive at North Moore.

Aug. 16
Ramona Rosas Magallon, 36, of Red Bud, was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child after she allegedly left two children under the age of 6 unattended in her car in the Walmart parking lot for more than 10 minutes.

Janine Brown, 43, of Waterloo, was issued a city ordinance violation following a barking dog complaint at 611 South Church Street.

Sebastian Kemmling, 20, of Waterloo, was arrested for harassment through electronic communications at 1325 Fieldstone.

Aug. 17
Kameron Williams, 19, of Columbia, was arrested for possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of alcohol on Route 3 at Rose Lane.

Benjamin Conway, 36, of Waterloo, was arrested for domestic battery and resisting arrest at 201 Columbia Avenue.

Aug. 18
Robert Bergman, 32, of Waterloo, was arrested for domestic battery, criminal damage to property and interference with the reporting of domestic violence at 305 Grand Avenue.

Donna L. Powell, 44, of Waterloo, was issued a city ordinance violation for begging at 102 S. Moore.
