Columbia Police
Oct. 25 – Matthew R. Williams, 28, of Waterloo, was arrested for DUI, possession of cannabis (more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams), no insurance, no seat belt and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident following a crash that occurred about 8 a.m. Wednesday on Route 3 at Veterans Parkway in Columbia. No serious injuries were reported in the crash.
Oct. 29 – Timothy S. Ervin, 50, of Columbia, was arrested for DUI, improper lane usage, failure to signal and no valid registration on West Legion Street at Leo Street. Ervin was also arrested on a Monroe County warrant.
Oct. 30 – A man left the Columbia Schnucks store with a cartload of Monster energy drinks and drove off in a vehicle with Missouri plates at about 2:40 p.m. The incident is under investigation.

Monroe County Sheriff
Oct. 23 – Julie A. Brigance, 49, of Hecker, was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident at 141 E. Lincoln Street in Hecker.
Oct. 24 – Frank Lauman of St. Louis was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage about 1 a.m. on Columbia Center Drive at Veterans Parkway.
Oct. 25 – Geoffrey M. Olish, 35, of Valley Park, Mo., was arrested on a Monroe County warrant on LL Road.
Oct. 26 – Heath Stilabower, 22, of Dupo, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant on Old State Route 3 at Skyline Drive.
Oct. 31 – A Swansea man was arrested for possession of crack cocaine and marijuana on Route 3 at Quarry Road in Columbia. The name was not released pending formal charges.
Nov. 1 – The possible theft of items from a shed on East Monroe Street in Hecker is under investigation.
Nov. 1 – Emergency personnel responded about 5:45 p.m. to a crash with possible injuries involving a car and tractor on Route 159 at Wiegand Road near Hecker. No one was transported for injuries.

Waterloo Police
Oct. 25 – Cherrie K. Keeling, 25, of Waterloo, was arrested for domestic battery at 320 W. Fourth Street.
Oct. 25 – Kirby E. Hamilton, 57, of St. Louis, was arrested for felony retail theft after he allegedly switched a price sticker and attempted to purchase a $300 crossbow at Walmart for a much lower price. He has a prior retail theft conviction in Pulaski County.
Oct. 29 – Caitlin Fenton, 18, of Waterloo, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant for failure to appear.
Nov. 1 – Waterloo police received several reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles at the north end of town over the weekend. The main area of Waterloo hit by this latest rash of thefts is the Northwinds subdivision. At least 10 vehicles were entered, Waterloo Police Chief Jim Trantham said. “We encourage everyone to lock their vehicles and keep valuables out of sight or not in the vehicle,” Trantham said. “We are asking that if anyone sees suspicious activity, please call 939-8651 to report it to the dispatcher.”
