Corey Blackwell led the Millers past the St. Louis Spikes Wednesday night, 3-0, to help improve their record to 12-7, one back in the loss column to the Belleville Rockies for second place in the Monroe Division of the Mon-Clair League.

Blackwell was masterful in allowing no hits and walking one en route to the no-hitter. Waterloo played very good defense behind Blackwell, making several outstanding plays in support of their pitcher.

Waterloo plays a doubleheader against rival Valmeyer Sunday at SPPCS field. Game times are 1:30 and 3:30 p.m.
