The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Freeburg-Waterloo hockey player Logan Ganz. The forward netted a hat trick in a 5-4 practice game win over Belleville on Jan. 10 and added another goal in a 5-2 win over Belleville on Jan. 14. He recorded 29 goals and 17 assists last season for Freeburg-Waterloo. Ganz was selected by the Connecticut Junior Rangers of the U.S. Premier Hockey League in the 2020 National Collegiate Development Conference Futures Draft.
