The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Waterloo High School wrestler Jaxson Mathenia. Only a freshman, Mathenia is already ranked No. 4 in the Class 2A state rankings for his 190-pound weight division. He is undefeated with a 12-0 record and recently won the Civic Memorial Tournament.
