The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Gibault Catholic High School girls soccer squad. The Hawks enjoyed their first winning season since 2019, finishing with an overall record of 13-9-2. Gibault defeated Massac County and Murphysboro last week to capture a Class 1A regional title. The Hawks picked up wins this spring against such teams as Marquette, Freeburg and Civic Memorial.
