Valmeyer first responders were dispatched to the area of KK Road at Levee Road for a four-wheeler crash that occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.

The driver of the ATV, a 28-year-old male, was flown by Survival Flight medical transport helicopter to a St. Louis area hospital for treatment of a head injury.

A family member identified the crash victim as Bradley Wild. He is recovering at Barnes Hospital. He suffered lacerations, swelling on the brain and trauma to an eye, a relative said. No one saw how the accident happened.
