The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Columbia High School varsity softball squad. The Eagles have won 12 straight games and are 14-2 on the season after defeating Wood River, 10-4, on Tuesday and Red Bud, 2-1, on Wednesday and Wood River, 10-0, on Thursday. Among the key victories so far this spring for Columbia include a 2-1 win April 9 over rival Waterloo and a 4-0 win April 8 over conference rival Freeburg.
