Three local fire departments responded to a brush fire late Thursday afternoon in the 3400 block of G Road near St. Joe.

The fire was reported to be spreading near a residence when the incident was called in about 4 p.m.

The Waterloo, Maeystown and Red Bud fire departments responded to the blaze.

The fire was reported to be mostly under control by about 5 p.m.
