Brush fire near railroad tracks west of Columbia

Republic-Times- March 2, 2022

The Columbia and Valmeyer fire departments responded shortly after 3:50 p.m. Wednesday to a brush fire near the railroad tracks just south of Steppig Road west of Columbia.

The fire was called in by Union Pacific Railroad.

The Valmeyer Fire Department was requested for mutual aid to provide its brush truck and a utility vehicle.
