The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is baseball player Alex Schreckenberg. The Columbia High School sophomore was named Fall 2020 Player of the Year in the younger age bracket of the Gateway Bruins travel baseball program. He hit .400 with 12 RBIs and 14 runs, all while only striking out twice. He also pitched well in his 13 innings and had a .963 fielding percentage.
