Waterloo man charged with dealing meth

A Waterloo man was arrested this week on drug charges following an investigation conducted by the Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois regional drug task force in cooperation with local law enforcement.

Gerard B. Bieber, 58, was charged in Monroe County Circuit Court with two felony counts of aggravated possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver plus another charge of possessing meth with intent to deliver, according to court information.

He was arrested Thursday in the 100 block of North Moore Street in Waterloo. Bieber remains in custody at the Monroe County Jail on $50,000 bond.

Members of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department played a large role assisting MEGSI in the investigation and arrest in this case, Monroe County Sheriff Neal Rohlfing said.
