The northbound lane of Route 3 is closed near Marketplace Drive outside of the Schnucks in Waterloo as police and EMS respond to a two-car crash at that location. The accident occurred around 5:50 p.m. Monday.

Initial reports are a Ford Edge driven by a teen turned in front of a northbound Hyundai Accent. Emergency responders checked out at least one person complaining of minor injuries at the scene, but no one required medical transport.

UPDATE at 6:05 p.m.: Northbound Route 3 has been reopened to traffic.
