Motorcycle crash south of Waterloo

Route 3 was briefly closed south of KK Road in Monroe County following a two-motorcycle crash involving serious injury shortly after 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

The Waterloo Fire Department and Monroe County EMS assisted as Survival Flight medical helicopter arrived to transport one patient to a St. Louis hospital. Another was transported by ambulance to a hospital.

The initial report is the motorcycles, both with Illinois plates, were riding in a group when the accident occurred. The crash remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.

Police said Lisa Keys, 48, of Dupo, was airlifted to Saint Louis University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Danny Keys, 57, of Dupo, was transported by ambulance to Mercy South in St. Louis County.
