Freeze warning issued for Apr 14. (NWS image)
The National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for dozens of counties in the STL metro area, including Monroe County. This warning was issued due to a strong cold front that moved across the Midwest last night, and even brought snow to places like Oklahoma and Nebraska.
Rain and the slight possibility of a few snowflakes could be seen tonight across the STL metro area.
The record low in STL for April 14 was 27F, which was set back in 1928. According to local meteorologists, there’s a chance that number could be met or broken tonight.
It is recommended to cover tender vegetation tonight.
