Police searching for missing Valmeyer man

Jason Stumpf, 38, missing from Valmeyer since Apr 8

Police are assisting family and friends in the search for a rural Valmeyer man who was last seen last Tuesday morning near his home.

A missing persons report on Jason Stumpf, 38, was filed late last week with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department. He was last seen in this area around 9 a.m. April 8, driving a silver Ford pickup truck, Monroe County Sheriff Dan Kelley said.

Stumpf is diabetic, and family members are concerned that he does not have access to proper medication.

Kelley said his department has received some calls with “several possibilities” as to Stumpf’s whereabouts, but the search for him continues as of this writing.

“We’re still looking for him,” Kelley said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the MCSD at 939-6464.
