The Eagles won Saturday’s Monroe County Tournament, defeating Waterloo, 7-2. With Monday’s, 14-0, stomping over Dupo, CHS is now on a seven-game win streak and are 16-3 on the season.

Columbia leads the Cahokia Conference’s Mississippi Division on offense with 133 runs scored so far this season, an average of seven runs per game. CHS is tied for first in the conference on defense, allowing an average of just 2.5 runs per game. The team is tied for second in the conference with a record of 2-1, behind Wesclin (3-0) with their sole conference loss coming to Carlyle — who is also second in the conference.

The baseball Eagles are now ranked No. 1 in the Republic-Times Local Rankings and are No. 2 in the St. Louis Post Dispatch’s Metro Rankings for small schools.
