The Republic-Times is very excited to launch its very own Best of 2013 contest!
We hope that it will bring together the community and it’s favorite local businesses, allowing people to vote for the best of Monroe County and surrounding areas. We will be encouraging our readers all month long to vote on our website through our NewsFlash emails, RepublicTimes.net, our social media sites and the newspaper. We will also be encouraging local businesses to spread the word and rally for people to vote for their business.
The contest winners will most importantly receive bragging rights for the year to come and a certificate to hang in their local business to show that they were the community’s choice for 2013.
The Republic-Times Best of 2013 contest will run through Jan. 13, with the winners being announced in the Jan. 15 edition of the R-T. Winners will receive a special Best of 2013 certificate indicating the category in which they have won.Encourage the community to vote for your business by purchasing a $20 “Vote for Me” button to place in your business’s respective category.
We are also allowing participating businesses to advertise in their respective categories, encouraging people to vote for them. You may sign up to advertise right here on our website. For just $20 per category, your business’s logo will appear with a “Vote for Me” sticker between the category title and description (see example to right). To sign up, simply complete the form below by filling in your business name and information, what category you would like your advertisement to appear in, upload your logo that you would like us to use and you are done! Your payment will be processed immediately online and our website staff will get your “Vote for Me” ad up on the poll as soon as possible. (Please keep in mind our office hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and our staff may not be able to process your order and put it up online if submitted outside those office hours.)
If you have any further questions feel free to email the R-T web editor, Teryn Schaefer, or call the office at 618-939-3814.
Thank you to all of our readers and local businesses for supporting your hometown newspaper and for a wonderful 2013!
