Columbia police, fire and EMS are responding to a vehicle crash on Interstate 255 eastbound on the exit ramp to southbound Route 3 in Columbia. The call for service came in at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday.

Traffic in the area was backed up as a result of the crash, according to police radio dispatch.

There is no immediate word on the extent of any possible injuries at this time.

Witnesses report the crash involved a van striking the rear of another van.
