2013 Valmeyer Mid-Summer Celebration event schedule released

The 2013 Valmeyer Mid-Summer Celebration takes place this year July 4-7, at Borsch Memorial Park in ‘old’ Valmeyer. Below is a list of the event schedule. Click here for the baseball schedule.

Thursday, July 4, Mon-Clair League Baseball begins at 9 a.m. with the COLOSSAL FIREWORKDS DISPLAY beginning at dusk.

Friday, July 5, music by Aftershock- 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Saturday, July 6, Mon-Clair League Baseball begins at 9 a.m., the Brent Roever Memorial Volleyball Tournament begins at 9:30 a.m. ($90/team. For more info, contact Kris Voelker at 618-458-7771), RCTPA Lawn Mower & ATV Pull with sign-up/weigh-in beginning at 11 a.m. an the pull starting at noon (For more info, contact Dennis Schilling at 618-458-7720), Music by Aftershock from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

Sunday, July 7, Mon-Clair League Baseball begins at 10 a.m. with the Championship game beginning approximately at 3 p.m., the parade begins at 1 p.m. (For more info, contact Scott Roever at 618-935-2111).

Come to “old” Valmeyer during the Mid-Summer Celebration for some good food and a cold beverage!

Items available at various times throughout the weekend:

  • Pirate Baseball Team– grilled brats, pork cutlets and pork kabobs
  • Valmeyer Lions– hamburgers, hotdogs, fries and lemonade
  • Valmeyer Knights of Columbus– fish sandwiches, home-made chips, chicken strips
  • Valmeyer youth sports association– soda
  • Barron Gymnastics Boost Club– “Walking Tacos,” nachos, cotton candy, candy bars, gatorade, bottled water
  • VHS junior class– funnel cakes (on July 4th only)
  • Valmeyer area Jaycess– ice cold beer
