The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Waterloo High School football team coached by Dan Rose. The Bulldogs gutted out a 7-6 win at home over Jerseyville on Friday despite being down their starting senior quarterback and six others due to injuries or COVID quarantine. The victory improved Waterloo’s season record to 4-1 heading into the final game of the season Friday at Civic Memorial, which was subsequently canceled to a COVID-related issue for Waterloo.
