Wednesday fire call in Columbia

The Columbia Fire Department responded about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to a dishwasher on fire inside a home in the 2600 block of Lakeshore Drive.

An early update just prior to firefighter arrival was that an extinguisher was used and that the fire was out but the dishwasher appeared to still be smoldering.
