A teen was injured in a single vehicle rollover crash that occurred Thursday night near Renault.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department said that shortly after 11:30 p.m., a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer driven by a 16-year-old Waterloo girl was traveling northbound on G Road south of VV Road at a high rate of speed when it ran off the roadway to the left, overcorrected, and then overturned.

Heavy damage was sustained to the vehicle, police said.

The driver’s father transported the teen to Red Bud Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries prior to police arrival.
