Sunday fire call for WFD

The Waterloo Fire Department and Monroe County EMS responded shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday to a smell of gas at a residence in the 500 block of South Main Street in Waterloo.

All occupants evacuated the home, with two youngsters reporting lightheadedness and nausea. A fire official said the children were checked out by EMS and were fine.
