Sunday crash in Columbia injures one

A St. Louis woman was transported to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained in a Sunday afternoon crash on Route 3 near Palmer Road in Columbia.

The crash occurred around 2 p.m. Police said a Ford Expedition driven by Katherine Harper, 33, of St. Louis, was traveling northbound on Route 3 approaching Interstate 255 when the vehicle veered off the roadway to the left, crossed through the southbound lanes of Route 3, and continued down a hill before coming to rest on the Columbia Soccer Club fields.

Harper was transported by Columbia EMS to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in St. Louis for treatment of minor injuries. The Columbia Fire Department assisted at the scene.
