The Columbia Fire Department responded about 12:10 p.m. Tuesday to the report of a structure fire in the 2800 block of Overview Drive.

Initial reports from a responding police officer on scene indicate there was a chair on fire in the basement and some siding smoldering at the back of the residence.

The fire was extinguished with minimal damage to the siding and minor smoke damage to the basement room.
