The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department is assisting in the investigation into a truck that was discovered in the ditch along Kidd Lake Road just south of Stringtown Road near Fults early Saturday evening.

The truck, a gray Dodge Ram 3500 with Kansas plates, was reported stolen out of Wilson County, Kansas, on Friday, police said.

The truck has minor front-end damage and was unoccupied at the time of its discovery. An Illinois State Police crime scene unit assisted sheriff’s deputies in processing the truck for evidence.
