SPPCS wins state

The Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic School baseball team won state on Monday.

SPPCS defeated St. Bruno-Tamaro, 4-0, in the Class S SIJHSA state championships in Coulterville. The game was originally scheduled for Friday but was pushed back to noon on Monday, due to rain.

The Falcon’s Trevor Davis threw a no hitter to take home the state trophy.

There will be a parade to celebrate the victory on Monday. The team will meet at FireSide/Lou and Michelle’s at 4 p.m. and then parade into town.
