The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Southern Illinois Hawks 16U girls basketball team, which features Waterloo High School hoops standouts Norah Gum and Sam Lindhorst. The Hawks, a metro east AAU/club program, went 6-0 to win the blue division platinum bracket at the Run 4 Roses tournament in Louisville, Ky., in early July, then posted a runner-up finish in the Battle of the Boro’s top 32-team bracket in mid-July after going 10-1.
