Rachel C. Buhler | Obituary
Rachel Christine (nee Price) Buhler, 82, of Dupo, died April 15, 2024, at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis. She was born May 17, 1941, in Tanner, Mo.
On, Oct. 27, 1962, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., she was united in marriage to Larry Gene Buhler, and to this union two children were born. They shared 61 years together.
She was a member of Seventh Day Church of God. Rachel enjoyed painting, sewing, crocheting hats, woodworking, gardening, being an avid coin collector, working at the local food pantries, making jewelry, cooking, fishing, traveling and antiquing. She was a jack of all trades, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband Larry G. Buhler of Dupo; daughter Sherry (Joel Fetlmeyer) Vanover of Dupo; son Larry (Holly) Buhler of Valmeyer; grandchildren Jeremy (Courtney) Vanover, Desiree (Jeff) Mosser, Kendra (Dustin) Chapman and Paige (Mike) Shirley; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Cal, Kendall, Remy, Briar, Kacey and Lincoln; siblings Rua Louise Price, Roselee Adams and Mary Wright; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Felix Elmer Price, mother Roxanne Price, and siblings Carrie Price, Florine Price, Albert Price, Leora Price, Juanita Price, Luedell Price and John Price.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m. April 18 at Leesman Funeral Home – Dupo.
A service will follow at the funeral home with Pastor John Rigenbach officiating.
A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. April 19 at the Coon Island Cemetery in Neelyville, Mo., with a procession leaving the funeral home at 9 a.m.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Siteman Cancer Center – Washington University, St. Louis.
