Police are seeking help from the public in identifying a vehicle and its driver that were recently involved in a hit-and-run accident in the 7700 block of Deer Hill Road. Evidence at the scene indicates that a newer model charcoal gray Ford F-150 missed a curve and ran over a water hydrant before hitting a large tree. The Ford came to rest well off of the roadway on a deep embankment, which had to require another truck to pull it back onto the road. The truck in question will have some significant damage to the front and driver’s side, police said, including a missing headlight. If anyone has information that may assist in locating the Ford and who was driving it at the time of the accident, contact the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department at 939-8651.
