Columbia Police

April 8

Kristopher M. Webb, 23, of St. Charles, Mo., was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle (1969 Chevrolet El Camino), possession of a stolen certificate of title, obstructing justice and driving while suspended.

April 10

Jerry B. Nelson, 35, of Columbia, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance (heroin) following a Jan. 24 arrest.

April 12

Scott M. Bradbury, 37, of Waterloo, was arrested on an in-state warrant and for possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident on Route 3 at the Quarry Road overpass around 6:20 a.m. No injuries were reported.

No injuries were reported following a collision involving a Toyota driven by Lois M. Scheske, 78, of Freeburg, and a 2001 Columbia EMS ambulance at Veterans Parkway and Admiral Parkway around 10 a.m.

April 13

Minor injuries were reported but no medical transport was required following a two-car crash at Ghent and Palmer roads around 9:45 a.m. A Saturn driven by Barbara Grant, 48, of Columbia, collided with a Kia driven by Nicholas Hagan, 26, of Columbia. Grant was cited for failure to yield.

April 14

Wendy M. McAlister, 47, of Columbia, was arrested for domestic battery at 557 Micah’s Way.

April 15

Kara N. Bechtel, 30, of Columbia, has been charged with felony theft after allegedly stealing a Sony Vaio laptop computer owned by Taylor Mitan sometime between March 29 and March 31.

Illinois State Police

April 4

Six were cited following undercover ISP alcohol compliance checks conducted at multiple establishments. Elise C. Mollet, 25, of Hecker, was cited for unlawful sale or delivery of alcohol to a minor at Fast Stop in Waterloo. Others cited for the same offense were Morgan C. Kuepfert, 18, of Fenton, Mo., at TopShooters; Alberto Jorge Lopez-Valenzuela, 31, of Columbia, at Tequila’s in Columbia; Laura B. Conway, 28, of Red Bud, at Cowell’s Fuel & Convenience near Red Bud; Cary L. Jewell, 35, of St. Louis, at West Park Bowl in Columbia; and a 17-year-old Waterloo male at Market Place in Columbia.

April 13

A two-car crash on Route 3 just north of the “S” curves in rural Waterloo around 2 a.m. is under investigation. No other information was made available in terms of those involved or injuries.

Monroe County Sheriff

April 9

Katrina Nagel, 18, of Red Bud, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at Beck Area Career Center.

The theft of car parts from an unlocked detached garage in the area of 3100 Brandt Road is under investigation.

April 11

Steven Ullrich of Waterloo has been issued a notice to appear on the charge of battery following a March 19 incident Spring Lake Drive.

April 12

Trey Eggemeyer, 18, of Marissa, was arrested for battery following an altercation at Beck Area Career Center.

April 14

Evan Metzger, 19, of Waterloo, was arrested for no insurance, driving too fast for conditions and failure to report an accident following a 3 a.m. rollover on Maeystown Road just south of LRC Road. Witnesses reported to police that a group of kids were seen carrying a subject to a nearby house and also rolled the crashed car back onto its wheels before leaving.

St. Clair County Sheriff

April 15

Millstadt fire personnel and a St. Clair County Hazmat team were called to the area of 7731 Hertel Road around 5:45 p.m. for a report of two 55-gallon barrels of oil leaking into a creek. The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency was contacted on this incident.

Waterloo Police

April 12

Ronald J. Brindell, 58, of Collinsville, was issued a notice to appear on the felony charge of home repair fraud. Court information alleges Brindell entered into a written contract with Mark Arbeiter and Kim Moeckel for $47,124.63 in repairs to the home at 151 Sterritt Run, but had no intention of performing said repairs.

April 14

Charles Judd, 40, of Waterloo, was arrested for DUI on West Fourth Street.
