Columbia Police

Jan. 1 – Robert A. Dejarnette, 25, of Fairview Heights, was arrested
for DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while
license suspended on I-255.

Jan. 1 – Jack L. Firkins, 30, of Alorton, was arrested for DUI,
possession of cannabis, speeding, driving while license revoked
and no insurance on I-255.

Jan. 2 – Heather M. Thacker, 27, of Belleville, was arrested for
DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage and
disobeying a stop sign on DD Road at Bluff Road.

Jan. 2 – Julius Wallace, 37, of St. Louis, was arrested on a fugitive
from justice out-of-state warrant.

Jan. 4 – Dean A. Walthes Jr., 22, of Cahokia, was arrested on
two counts of retail theft and for possession of drug paraphernalia
at Walgreens, 100 Admiral Weinel Boulevard.

Jan. 5 – Jonathan K. Hayes, 27, of Noblesville, was arrested
on an in-state warrant.

Jan. 5 – A Columbia police officer responding to a business
alarm in the area of BB Road near the curve at the railroad crossing
lost control of his car on loose gravel shortly before 8 p.m. and slid
into the ditch, requiring assistance from a tow truck. Damage to the
car was reported, so the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department
completed a crash report. The officer was wearing a seat belt and
was not injured.

Dec. 29 – Jake Eaton, 23, of Waterloo, was cited for illegal
transportation of alcohol on Bluff Road at KK Road.

Dec. 29 – James C. Voss, 22, of Waterloo, was arrested on multiple
in-state warrants.

Dec. 31 – Tyler Lawrence, 26, of Waterloo, was arrested on two
in-state warrants on B Road at Levee Road.

Jan. 1 – A report of fraudulent use of credit card on Hillcastle
Drive is under investigation.

Jan. 2 – Mailbox damage reported on LL Road is under investigation.

Waterloo Police

Dec. 26 – Five juveniles — four from Waterloo and one from
Smithton — were arrested for possession of cannabis and possession
of drug paraphernalia on Route 3 at Rose Lane.

Dec. 31 – Kyle Luedders, 27, of Barnhart, Mo., was arrested on
a Monroe County warrant for failure to appear in court.

Jan. 1 – Jamie Hurst, 33, of Columbia, was arrested on a Monroe
County warrant for failure to appear in court and also for expired
registration and no insurance.

Jan. 1 – Lucas Altes, 33, of Waterloo, was arrested for DUI, illegal
transportation of alcohol, fleeing or attempting to elude police,
speeding (85 miles per hour in a 55 zone) and unlawful display
of registration on Route 3 at GG Road. Also cited in the stop
was Tiffany Mertens, 31, of St. Louis, for illegal transportation of
alcohol.

Jan. 1 – Blake Pensoneau, 24, of Red Bud, was arrested for retail
theft at Walmart. He allegedly stole three Xbox 360 controllers
from the store.

Jan. 1 – Anthony Grasso, 57, of Waterloo, was arrested for domestic
battery at 102 Greenview Court.

Jan. 2 – William McDaniel, 43, of Columbia, was arrested for
possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to
signal and driving while license suspended on Koenigsmark Drive
at North Library Street.

Jan. 4 – Donte Tarelle Legette, 25, of Redford, Mich., was arrested
on felony charges of identity theft and theft following an
incident at Walmart. He allegedly used personal identification
from a victim’s bank account to obtain $3,200 in gift cards from
the store.
