Columbia Police

Oct. 21
Benjamin M. Zilliken, 25, of Pacific, Mo., was arrested on an in-state warrant and for driving with a suspended license on I-255 westbound at milepost 3.8.

Oct. 22
Gary L. Johnson, 52, of East Alton, was arrested on two in-state warrants on Route 3 northbound at the Palmer Road exit.

Oct. 27
Michael D. Cleveland, 40, of Columbia, was arrested for domestic battery at 107 Sunset Court.

Oct. 28
Police assisted firemen at the scene of a vehicle fire in the McDonald’s parking lot around 3 p.m. No injuries were reported.

Monroe County Sheriff

Oct. 22
David A. Berube, 56, of Columbia, was arrested for DUI and improper lane usage on Fountain Road just west of Bluff Road.

A 16-year-old Waterloo male was cited for reckless driving and speeding (100 miles per hour in a 55 zone) on Route 156 at H Road.

Oct. 27
Ryan C. Nastoff, 21, of Lenzburg, was arrested for DUI and improper parking in the roadway on Bluff Road at Herbst Road.

A report of criminal damage to property at the Gateway FS Chalfin Bridge location is under investigation. A soda machine was damaged.

Oct. 28
A burglary reported at 6706 Konarcik Road is under investigation. A Sony PlayStation 3 game console was missing from the home, as was a flatscreen TV from an RV on the property.

Valmeyer Police

Sept. 7

Margaret F. Monroe, 53, of Belleville, was arrested for the theft of cash from Mike’s Convenience Store.

Waterloo Police

Oct. 22
Alfred White of Granite City and Nathan Wolfe of Edwardsville were each issued city ordinance violations for unlawful soliciting in the area of Victor Street.

Oct. 23
Carolyn McDonald, 45, of Waterloo, was arrested for retail theft after allegedly taking a stick of lip balm from Walmart.

Danny Sitzes, 59, of Waterloo, was arrested for theft of lost or mislaid property (wallet) at U-Gas.

Oct. 24
Gary A. Smith, 29, of Smithton, was charged with retail theft after allegedly taking 22.5 gallons of fuel from U-Gas.

Oct. 26
Taylor Duvall, 20, of Waterloo, was cited for unlawful consumption of alcohol and unlawful possession of alcohol on Flower Street at Rau Street. Jason L. Behnken, 20, of Waterloo was arrested for unlawful possession of cannabis and cited for unlawful consumption of alcohol.
