Columbia Police

Oct. 8

Jacob M. Reeder, 18, of Columbia, was arrested for possession of cannabis at Metter Park. Zachary R. Walsh, 21, of Columbia, was arrested for possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, no insurance and expired registration sticker at 1655 Columbia Bridges Drive. Also arrested was Blake G. Patrick-Byrd, 21, of Columbia, for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 11

Tomas B. Barrett, 36, of Belleville, was arrested for DUI, no insurance, improper lane usage and missing taillight on Route 3 southbound at Gilmore Lake Road.

Monroe County Sheriff

Oct. 13

A report of criminal damage to property in the 5700 area of Sportsman Road is under investigation. A wooden “Kevin Hirsch for Sheriff” campaign sign was apparently pulled out of the ground and thrown against a fence, causing damage.

Waterloo Police

Oct. 8

Judith M. McCoy, 25, of Columbia, was arrested on a St. Clair County warrant.

Oct. 13

Officers were called to Helping Hand Thrift Store, 695 N. Moore Street, at about 12:25 p.m. following a report that someone tried to use a fake $1 bill to make a purchase there.
