Area fire departments were paged late Wednesday afternoon to multiple incidents involving outdoor burning.

The first call went out about 3:10 p.m. for the Red Bud Fire Department to respond to a brush fire in the 6800 block of MM Road.

The second call went out about 3:25 p.m. for the Valmeyer Fire Department to respond to a controlled burn that was straying into the Salt Lick Trail parking lot in the 1300 block of Limestone Lane.
