Police, fire and EMS responded Tuesday at about 8:10 p.m., to a head-on crash on Route 3 south of Waterloo, about a quarter mile south of the Monroe County Electric Cooperative headquarters (6132 State Route 3).

The vehicles involved were a white Chrysler Town & Country minivan driven by Gregory Smith, 51, and a tan Chevrolet compact car driven by Joseph Allen, 16. Initial reports from the scene are that neither driver was trapped, and both were conscious and alert when first responders arrived. Injuries were believed to be minor.
