Terry Souchek has had a great finish to his 2025 golf season. Souchek is the longtime former Valmeyer High School golf coach, current Gibault assistant boys basketball coach, and president of the Southwest Illinois High School Golf Coaches Association.

He attended Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on a golf scholarship from 1969-1973. Souchek won the senior division of the St. Louis City Championship at Forest Park in late July with rounds of 70 and 75.

Then, he won the Missouri Golf Senior event at Meadow Lake Acres in New Bloomfield, Mo. Most recently, Souchek won the senior net division of the Metropolitan Senior Championship in St. Peters, Mo. at The Falls Golf Club with rounds of 79 and 75 Oct. 20-21.
