Four from Dupo injured in South County crash

Multiple emergency crews responded to a crash with serious injuries on Kinswood Drive near I-255 in South St. Louis County, Mo., around 1:30 a.m.on Feb. 2. The names of those involved have not yet been released.

A St. Louis County Police Department spokesman said occupants of a 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by a 28-year-old Dupo woman left Crock’s Sports Bar on Telegraph Road and attempted to proceed to Dupo shortly before the crash occurred.

The driver lost control and left the roadway, striking a fence. The Jeep flipped several times, ejecting two of three passengers. The driver sustained a ruptured spleen and internal bleeding. She was admitted for surgery and was last in critical condition, police said Tuesday.

A 31-year-old male passenger suffered fractures to his hip, arms and legs, as well as severe head trauma. He remains in critical condition.

A 28-year-old female passenger suffered back fractures and head trauma and is also in critical condition.

A third passenger, a 32-year-old male, sustained broken ribs and other injuries but is currently in stable condition.

Charges are pending in this case, police said.
