Field fire south of Hecker

The Hecker and Red Bud fire departments responded shortly after 2:50 p.m. Tuesday to a field fire in the area of 7900 Roscow Road south of Hecker near Route 159.
An arriving firefighter reported to Monroe County dispatch that less than a quarter acre of corn stubble was on fire.
