A 62-year-old man is dead following a suspected home invasion at 2113 Imbs Station Road near Triple Lakes Road east of Dupo early Thursday afternoon that resulted in a shooting.

The deceased was identified Saturday as Lloyd Turner, 62, of Sikeston, Mo. Police said Turner had no identification on him at the scene and the vehicle he had driven to the residence was not registered in his name.

A 72-year-old male homeowner called 911 around 12:40 p.m. to report a burglary at his residence. The man told police he heard a window breaking in the rear of his home and fired one shot at the suspected intruder, Turner, inside the home.

Turner was found deceased in the driveway as a result of a single gunshot wound, police said.
