The Republic-Times Athlete of the Week is Columbia High School football player Dominic Voegele. The 6-foot-2 sophomore quarterback/defensive back made the most of his first varsity start as Columbia’s signal caller in Friday’s 37-18 win at Salem. Voegele rushed 16 times for 120 yards and three touchdowns and was 14-for-19 passing for 170 yards and two TDs. On defense, he also recorded an interception.
