Counterfeit $100 bill reported at Waterloo Schnucks

Waterloo police were called to the service desk inside Schnucks at about 5:15 p.m. Friday to handle a report of a person attempting to pay for a MoneyGram using a counterfeit $100 bill.

The suspect was reported to be a hispanic male, according to police radio dispatch. No other information was available at this time.

A Red Bud bank reported that two counterfeit $100 bills were discovered Monday morning in the bank’s weekend deposits from fast food places.

It was noted that the bills in the Red Bud case were both series 2006, with serial numbers KB887691–B — the last two numbers being different.
