The Columbia softball team is all smiles after winning the Monroe County Softball Tournament on Thursday. For more photos from the tournament, click here.

The Republic-Times Team of the Week is the Columbia High School softball team coached by Rhonda Major. The Eagles are 15-3 after winning the Monroe County Softball Tournament on Thursday with victories over Valmeyer, 13-1, and Waterloo, 6-3. Columbia played at Breese Central on Tuesday and hosts Wesclin on Wednesday.

Corey is the editor of the Republic-Times. He has worked at the newspaper since 2004, and currently resides in Columbia. He is also the principal singer-songwriter and plays guitar in St. Louis area country-rock band The Trophy Mules.
