The Columbia High School girls basketball team is this week’s Republic-Times Team of the Week.

Last week, Scott Germain’s bunch opened their season by winning their third consecutive Columbia Tip-Off Classic.

Columbia posted three impressive wins in the week-long tournament, including last Friday’s 45-34 come-from-behind win over Greenville in the championship game. They earlier beat Wood River and Lebanon.

Columbia (4-0) has continued its winning ways during the regular season. On Tuesday night, Columbia continued with their winning ways, beating Carlyle, 67-64.

The Eagles will return to action on Monday, hosting Freeburg at 7:45 p.m.

Congratulations Eagles, keep up the good work!
